About Bishop Wayne and Sis Beverley Perkins

Bishop Wayne Perkins grew up in the market town of Chippenham in Wiltshire where he was an active member of the New Testament Church of God, serving in various capacities.  Educated at Hardenhuish Comprehensive School and Wiltshire College, where he studied Business Management, Banking and Marketing.

Rev Wayne met Beverley in 1988 (whilst on the New T Mass choir) and they married in 1990.  Moving to Basingstoke in 1991 they became members of NTCG Aldershot where Wayne served as musician, worship leader, District Youth and Christian Education Director and Beverley led the Young ladies ministry, children’s ministry, also serving as Sunday School teacher and member of worship team. Rev Wayne entered the ministry in 2001 after successful completion of studies at Overstone Theological College and served as Assistant Pastor under the leadership of Bishop Burrell, and latterly Bishop Bolt at NTCG Aldershot.

In 2008 Rev Wayne and Beverley were appointed to the leadership of NTCG Slough where they have been serving for the past 12 years. Their tenure at Slough has been one of servant leadership, and they have successfully led the church through a period of steady growth both numerically and spiritually, and are leaving a church that’s perfectly positioned to continue impacting the lives in and around the community of Slough.

They are the proud parents of four children Karl, Aaron, Rhianna and Leah, and are looking forward to the continued leading of God as they begin this next chapter in their life and ministry.

The Perkins also enjoy travelling. Together they have traveled to several Caribbean islands, Europe and the USA, and have more recently discovered the delights of the Lake District, in Cumbria.

More about Bishop Wayne

After successful completion of the Ministerial Internship Program at the Leadership training Centre in Northampton, Rev Wayne was ordained to the office of Bishop in 2017.  Elected to serve as a member of the National Executive Council and appointed as Vice Chair of the National Convention Planning committee, Rev Wayne strongly believes in equipping people to deal with the challenges they face in every area of their lives through the practical application of the word. He has a heart for God and the people of God, and his ministry is one that motivates, encourages and inspires individuals to reach their full potential. Having been actively involved in ministry for more than 25 years and being privileged to minister throughout the UK, Rev Wayne firmly believes in the transformational power of the Holy Spirit and the authority word of God.

Rev Wayne’s professional career spans Banking, Financial Services, Business Consultancy and the IT & AV industry. Beverley has a background of executive PA, and currently works as a senior administrator within the education sector. She has also recently completed the first level of her counselling studies.

Rev Wayne also enjoys travelling, together they have traveled to several Caribbean islands, Europe and the USA, and have more recently discovered the delights of the Lake District, in Cumbria.

Rev Wayne’s love of food is no secret, especially cake (rich fruit cake). Plantain, curry goat, rice n peas, red peas soup, and most puddings with custard are some of his favourites.  He is also a long-suffering Arsenal supporter, and has had the privilege of visiting the Emirates with their sons, Karl and Aaron. He is also a musician and loves music. He has a passion for cars, and hopes to own his own classic car one day.

More about Sis ‘Bev’ Beverley

Sis Bev was born in the military town of Aldershot, the eldest of 5 children. A “PK” whose parents were leaders of NTCG Basingstoke, and latterly NTCG Southampton.  

Early in her working career she worked as an executive PA at an oil company in London, supporting and communicating with people across the globe, especially in West Africa.

In July 1990, she married Rev Wayne, and they started a family 2 years later. With her growing family now taking up most of her time, Sis Beverley went into the education sector to ensure she could maximise her time with the children.

Sis Bev loves to travel and enjoys walking, theatregoing, and is a great cook!

She has a heart for people, especially young people, and has completed Psychology and counselling studies.

 

They are both at their happiest when surrounded by their family. Their 4 children bring them much joy, and they still enjoy taking family holidays together when possible.
