<image:title>Chrisma News and Updates - Meet Bishop Wayne and Sis Beverley Perkins</image:title>
<image:caption>Bishop Wayne and Beverley Perkins will be taking up the pastorate at Chrisma in 2021. Bishop Wayne and Beverley Perkins have been married for 30 years, moving to Basingstoke in 1991 where they became members of NTCG Aldershot. Wayne served as musician, worship leader, District Youth and Christian Education Director and Beverley led the Young ladies ministry, children’s ministry, also serving as Sunday School teacher and member of worship team. Rev Wayne entered the ministry in 2001 after successful completion of studies at Overstone Theological College and served as Assistant Pastor under the leadership of Bishop Burrell, and latterly Bishop Bolt at NTCG Aldershot. In 2008, The Perkins were appointed to the leadership of NTCG Slough where they have been serving for the past 12 years. Their tenure at Slough has been one of servant leadership, and they have successfully led the church through a period of steady growth both numerically and spiritually, and are leaving a church that’s perfectly positioned to continue impacting the lives in and around the community of Slough. Rev Wayne’s professional career spans Banking, Financial Services, Business Consultancy and the IT & AV industry. Beverley has a background of executive PA, and currently works as a senior administrator within the education sector. She has also recently completed the first level of her counselling studies. They are the proud parents of four children Karl, Aaron, Rhianna and Leah, and are looking forward to the continued leading of God as they begin this next chapter in their life and ministry. Their induction will be on Sunday 3 January 2021.</image:caption>

<image:title>Chrisma News and Updates - Chrisma Covid-19 update: National Lockdown</image:title>
<image:caption>The health and wellbeing of our members, adherents and visitors continues to be our priority. In light of the government’s announcement of a national four-week lockdown (1 November), we have considered the guidance and are taking the most appropriate steps to adhere to the new measures for places of worship. Accordingly, we invite all members, adherents and visitors to participate in our Sunday Services via live broadcast on our YouTube channel. Congregational worship within the building will cease until the lockdown has been lifted. Our reoccurring weekly schedule of activities including Bible Study, Children's Sunday School, Women’s Hour, Men’s Breakfast and Prayer and Pursuit will continue on Zoom. Please note we are committed to promote worship irrespective of the temporary pause and we will continue to implement strategies to enable this. We would like to thank you for your support over the last few months and ask that you continue to engage in worship and cover our leadership, supporting ministries and each other in prayer.</image:caption>

<image:title>Chrisma News and Updates - Special announcement</image:title>
<image:caption>After seventeen years of outstanding servant leadership at NTCG Chrisma Christian Centre, it is with bittersweet thoughts that we announce the promotion of Bishop Claion and Mrs Sonia Grandison to the District Pastorate of NTCG West Croydon. Their leadership at NTCG Chrisma has been exemplified by serving hearts and hands, which led to the spiritual and social development of the community. Notably, they’ve led the church in championing for justice and civic responsibility through the implementation of numerous outreach ministries serving the homeless, elderly and vulnerable. Moreover, they’ve mentored and trained leaders at the cutting-edge and spearheaded various business initiatives. Today, NTCG Chrisma is a vibrant and thriving intergenerational community church. Bishop and Mrs Grandison will commence their new role in January 2021 and will continue to lead NTCG Chrisma in the interim. We will miss them dearly and commit to praying for their ministry as they promote the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. NTCG Chrisma Leadership Team</image:caption>

<image:title>Chrisma News and Updates - Chrisma COVID-19 Statement: Reopening update</image:title>
<image:caption>The health and wellbeing of our members, adherents and visitors continues to be our priority. We are taking the appropriate steps, to prepare for resuming church activities, following the publication of guidelines from the Government, relating to the reopening of places of worship. We have reviewed these guidelines carefully and concluded that they present several logistical challenges including the reorganisation of our worship space and services. Accordingly, we are undertaking the necessary risk assessments to ensure our environment is safe before any move is made to reopen. In the meantime, we will continue to deliver our services virtually and will not be gathering in person on 5th July. We will continue to update you on the measures we are taking to ensure a safe return. We would like to thank you for your support over the last 16 weeks as we have prayed, studied and worshipped together online; we have truly gathered though separated.
